about

Another technoid album attack crafted by the man known as Sascha Müller is served these days with the 52nd untitled release on the Supersix Records Extra-imprint. The longplay piece, holding a dozen of tracks overall, starts out with "RAM", a clearly sci-fi influenced Techno / Electro crossover for well-advanced late night floors whilst "Raumschlacht" - translate as: 'space battle', another sci-fi theme - comes across as a gooey peaktime Acid banger wandering the borderline towards Hard- / AcidTrance to great effects. "Replikanten" turn up coming from a dark place to cast evil, grinding shadows over most busy dancefloors dedicated to original Techno, "Resonator" caters an excellent take on IDM / Deep Space Electro of a kind most German ravers being invlvd in the scene from day dot will still remember from the legendary 'Space Night' show on German TV back in the 90s, "Sahara Nights" follows a similar, yet more Ambient / ChillOut focused path and the "Sound Test" introduces a phat'n'pumping variation of percussion infused House music for quite a sexy time on the dancefloor. Discovering the "Species 8472" infiltrating dancers brains through warped, repetetive signals on top of a well merciless, dry marching Techno foundation we see them slowly being transformed into one big "Stanzmaschine", a massive ToolTechno apparatus on high speed overload. Entering "Strange Worlds" we're immediately sucked up by a hypnotic, echoing Techno spiral and its clean, partly even scientific sounding bleeps, going on "Superboost" means more speed, harder bassdrums and impellent hi-hats for all fans of quality Techno and Acid, "The Man With The Diary" basically is a slo-mo take on bleepy, Electro-infused Downtempo produced by an 8-bit version of R2D2 and the final cut "Tito Puente" once again recalls the steamy heat of late night Tribal House-sessions in a tool'ish and hyperfunctional way. Quality stuff in here for sure.
